 West Yorkshire Walks

Although many might write the area off for walking because of its associations with industry and major conurbations, this would be a mistake as it is also an area of rolling landscapes, of hills, escarpments and valleys. There are the eastern slopes of the Pennines, canals and moors which all present walking opportunities.

If you are looking for walks to access by public transport, click on the "ticket" symbol below. Although many of the walks have been accessed by car and some of the starting points themselves might not be close to reliable public transport, most of my West Yorkshire walks are circular and some do pass close by public transport at some point. The walks can be picked up at that point.
